Terms
The agreement, in plain words
What you can expect from Heromigo, and what we expect from you. How your data is handled is a separate page: the privacy policy.
Last updated 7 September 2026
01 What Heromigo is
Heromigo turns one photo of your child into an illustrated hero, and puts that hero into storybooks, branching adventures and small learning games. A dashboard shows a parent what the child has been working on.
It is free. There is no subscription, no card, and no content locked behind a payment.
02 Who may use it
The account belongs to an adult: a parent or legal guardian of the child in the photo. By creating one you confirm you are that adult and old enough to enter an agreement where you live.
Children are meant to use Heromigo alongside you, on your account. They do not get a login of their own.
03 Your account
Keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has it.
What happens on your account is your responsibility, including what a child does while signed in as you.
04 The photo you upload
By uploading a photo you confirm it shows your own child, or a child you are the guardian of, and that you may use it for this.
Do not upload a photo of anyone else’s child, and do not upload anything that is not a photograph of a child’s face.
What happens to the photo is described in the privacy policy. In short: it is used once to draw the hero and is not kept.
05 The hero, and who owns what
The hero drawn for your child is yours to keep, print, and show to family.
The stories, adventures, games, illustrations and the rest of Heromigo stay ours. You may use them inside the product and through the share links it creates, and not repackage or resell them.
06 Share links
A share link makes one page readable by anyone who has it. You decide when one exists, and you can revoke it in Settings.
Sending a link to someone is your choice, and what they do with it is beyond our control.
07 Using it fairly
Do not try to break, overload or work around the way the product runs, and do not scrape it or drive it with automated tools.
Do not use it to make anything that harms or misrepresents a child.
08 While it is free and new
Heromigo is an early product. Features may change, move, or be withdrawn, and it may be unavailable while we work on it.
Illustrations are drawn by a model. It sometimes gets a detail wrong, and you can redraw a hero when it does.
We do not promise the product is free of faults or fit for a particular purpose beyond what the law requires of us.
09 Ending it
You can delete a hero at any moment, or the whole account, from Settings. Share links stop working straight away and the rest is erased after 30 days.
We may close an account that breaks these terms, and will say why unless there is a legal reason not to.
10 Liability, and the law that applies
Heromigo is provided by [legal entity to be added before launch], reachable at [email protected].
These terms are governed by the law of [jurisdiction to be added before launch], and disputes belong to its courts.
Nothing here limits rights you have that cannot be limited, including consumer rights and anything owed to a child under the law that protects them.
This section, and the limits of what we are liable for, are the part a lawyer must set before launch. Treat the wording here as a draft of intent, not as settled terms.
11 When these terms change
If we change them in a way that matters, we will say so in the product rather than quietly replace the page.
Where a change touches what we collect or who receives it, we ask for consent again instead of widening an old agreement.
